The Tek 2465B was the last and best performing (4 channels 400MHz) portable analog scope Tek made (1989-1996), and mine has less than 1000 hours' use on it, so you can't get any better! It is also the last Tek made to be repairable. Years from now 2465Bs will still be active while their younger relatives get tossed in scrap heaps. Since it is the standard by which other scopes are and will be judged, it is an excellent upgrade from many others. Even digitizing scopes have tried from day-1 to emulate its capabilities, and at least in some respects unsuccessfully... So why not just get it? It originally cost new $9000 (equivalent to about $15000 today), but you can now get it for just a tiny fraction, still working just fine. Another way to look at it is that it cost twentysomething ounces of gold new but only 1.4 now.
Photo show the leading edge of a fastrise square wave at the scopes's fastest sweep speed, magnified X10. This is a simple, easy, yet, revealing test for weeding out tired 2400s... since it stresses horizontal & vertical amplifiers to the max, and gun for intensity.
AVAILABLE EXTRAS: I left in place the 'make offer' mechanism so you could offer more to get more in the way of options, accessories, fewer hours, and longer guaranty. Here are some: $400 for substituting a new unsed CRT; $135 for a used P6137 probe or $250 for a new P6137 probe (costs $400 from Tek); $300 for tv sync option 5 (cost $1000 from Tek); $300 for frequency counter option 6 (cost $1000 from Tek); $40 for a top pouch; $80 for a front cover (cost $250 from Tek). Please ask about others. Email questions (in English or French) to Calvinemail@example.com or call 1 (***) 706 0177 or mobile 1 (***) 499 2552 or fax 1 (***) 706 0156.
PLEASE DO NOT MAKE OFFER FOR LESS THAN $1360 UNLESS YOU'D BE OK WITH LESS SCOPE and shorter (30 days) guaranty. At $950 you'll get a 2465B with less than 12000 use-hours, at $800 you'll get the 2247A in the 2nd photo. At $600 you'll get the 465B in the 3rd photo. At less than $600, which happens to be my flat repair fee on a scope, you'd not be leaving me enough for restoration work which used scopes need, so you'd get a fix-it-yourself project.
